The first myth in a series of five that we are going to bring up involves that excruciating pain down your leg. You (or someone you know) are probably more than familiar with that awful pain that runs the length of your leg. Perhaps you have had it checked out by your family doctor, a specialist, or a sports physician. Each time, costly tests led to no decisive results, which left you right where you began: still in pain, but now feeling discouraged.
There is an answer, we promise! What your physician is not even aware of or is not revealing to you can make a world of difference for you.
There is a small muscle, approximately 5 inches in length, in the hip of the human body. Shockingly, this little muscle is frequently the cause of that enormous pain down your leg. The muscle pinches the sciatic nerve, which runs from the lower back down the leg, and results in leg pain, or other symptoms such as tingling, numbness, or weakness. Generally, the diagnosis is a slipped or herniated disc, but upon closer inspection, the reason for the sciatic pain is this tiny muscle.
With that we have both bad news and good news for you. The bad news? There are no costly medical exams or MRIs that will reveal the real cause for the pain. The good news? There is a much easier answer. The real problem at hand is so much smaller than your other physicians have told you, and therefore much simpler and inexpensive to correct.
Do you deal with sciatica? Has it left you in pain and despair? Have a chiropractor examine it and start you on the road to recovery!
